I thought it was really good until 0:36 when the bass kicked in. Not exactly my cup of tea, but it's promising.

Fair enough. My personal favorite was toward the end myself. As for the bass, i think it fit this one in particular, because theres another underground remake that seemed more "jumpstyle" maybe. i dont know much about techno music, but it was more of a techno-y distorted bass i guess. Still really loved the song that he made though.
